Why

There's Design, and there's Development. I do the latter very well, and the former...? Well, like I said, I do the latter very well.

Who cares about the stuff on this site?

Lots of people, actually. The code is based on important people's code (see Thank Yous), and the hard work of a lot of people in the open source community. But let's not kid around: I did A LOT to make this code base.

Who cares about that stupid card trick?

Besides me and your mom? Well, the crew that helped develop this code base cares, as well as my clients and previous employers.

Some things you may not have noticed about the card trick:

  • The page doesn't reload, only the card trick portion of the page reloads (the kids call that AJAX).
  • You can leave the website at any time, come back, and the trick will be at the same point you left it in.
  • It's built on what I call the "Webtool Framework". That means it was done in a generic way so that other cool ideas, not just the card trick, can be done quickly and with all the awesomeness you come to expect from the "Webtool Framework"
